The Government of Madhya Pradesh recently declared Kuno as a national park, covering an area of ​​404 square kilometers. After the Kuno was declared a national park, the Asiatic lions from the Gir of Gujarat can be transferred to Kuno. Before the creation of the national park, Kuno was a wildlife sanctuary, also called the Palpur-Kuno wildlife sanctuary. It is located in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh. It is spread over an area of ​​about 900 square kilometers. In 1981, an area of ​​344.68 sq km was earmarked for this wildlife sanctuary. Later this area was increased. By Air
